Good Job Mayor Moore

Goliath sees that Mayor Mike Moore made quite a point to come down to the new “Red YETI BREWING COMPANY” Groundbreaking ceremony on Spring Street today. Red Yeti Brewing Company - Jeffersonville, Indiana  The owner wrote this on Facebook: “As you all can see, today was a red letter day for Red Yeti Brewing. We want to thank everyone for…well…everything, but want to send out a special thanks to Mayor Moore for coming out and helping make this important day extra special. Stay tuned.”  Here at Gawnews we are glad to see Mayor Moore engaged and bringing attention and publicity to a business Launch.  This Brewery will be at the foot of the Big Four Ramp and could be a great ‘destination’ for bridge walkers.

As all and the many know we write when we see Mayor Moore messing up (In our opinion) so it’s only fair to acknowledge doing something good too.  Here’s the City’ FB post on this:

Another business opening in beautiful downtown Jeffersonville! See you at the Red Yeti soon!

But G, aren’t we supposed to criticize Moore for everything he does. I mean EVERYTHING!

As I am sure Goliath can attest, Beer was the defining drink of the first great civilizations. The reason is that in the days before water purification was known to be a necessity, often the most pure fluid available was alcohol, in beer, which has antibacterial properties. As civilizations grew, so did water-bourne diseases. Thus, beer was the drink of choice.

I bring this up because this new microbrewery will literally bring the drink of choice for civilizations to Jeffersonville. As this piece by Goliath points out we are already seeing the rewards. Goliath himself is congratulating Mike Moore on his own public site which has been widely used to bash the Mayor for a long time now. This is downright civilized. Also, I saw many of the pictures on Facebook from yesterdays events. Not only was Mayor Moore there for the ribbon cutting but I also saw pictures of City Councilman Mike Smith. What is going on there? I thought the Mayor and City Council were not communicating? I thought they were at odds over everything? Were the two of them (City Council and Mayor) coming together because of beer? Civilization bro. Get used to it.

Very happy to see this coming to Spring St. , Now if we can get the state police to stop lurking around local bars and restaurants waiting to pull you over.. Word to ISP, get back on the highways and counties where you belong.

Tell 'em how you really feel
