MAKING CRIME PAY: $ 11,000,000.00 Police Station for JEFFERSONVILLE

Wow.   Jeffersonville is setting forth to build an ELEVEN MILLION DOLLAR Police Station.    Here’s from the CJ story on the ‘ground breaking: “

effersonville officials on Monday marked the start of construction on new police headquarters, which they touted as the city’s first stand-alone station.

Construction of the station, 2212 E. 10th St., is expected to take about 11 months, Mayor Mike Moore said.

“The city of Jeffersonville has grown considerably in the last few years. The police station we are about to build will take us into the next 25 or 30 years,” Moore said before he and other city leaders ceremoniously turned shovels of dirt.

City officials say the move from the historic Quartermaster Depot near downtown to the new central location — near the city’s fire headquarters and street department — will be more accessible to residents.

City Council members this year approved issuing up to $11 million in bonds for the project.”  Link:

Can you believe that SHIZZ?????  Really? Eleven MILLION????   This seemed a tad high….Goliath wondered …Is Goliath living in the past?  Like back in 1200 AD when castles was ever so much cheaper to build with SLAVE labor (or peasant labor?)

I mean…GEEZ  I kinda got an idea the kinda HOUSE you could build for A MILLION dollars in Southern Indiana …  5000 Bent Creek Dr, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119_Image  I wonder…could we get buy on just building maybe two or three of these for the Cops?  I know it would be asking for a major sacrifice for the Police…..but we are always being told (especially by Republicans)  how we got to tighten up! 5000 Bent Creek Dr, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119_Image

WHOOPS!!!   TWO MILLION?????????????????    Goliath got to be MISSING SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess the average American don’t love his Cops as much as Jeffersonville Citizens LOVES its Cops…….Like..Jeff Loves its cops FIVE TIMES as MUCH as the Average American!!!  COOL!!!!

Also,  I like how the current contractor and Chief of Police Strong ARmed the City at last meeting:  Did you see this??????? From the NT story   Apparently the City ain’t GOT NO CHOICE but to add in a “HIGH BAY” to the plans:  COntractor sAid:  ““If we don’t get approval [today] we’re going to proceed without the high-bay,” said Clinton Deckard, of Construction Solutions LLC and project manager for the new police station, at a special meeting held Thursday. “If you want to build it later it’s probably going to cost you $150,000 to $200,000 [more] to add it on.””

And CHIEF GRIMM said: “JPD Chief Chris Grimm said one of the main purposes in constructing a new police station was to get all of the JPD’s resources under one roof.

“Without it, we’re in the same situation we are in this facility,” he said of City Hall. “We just don’t have any place to store our equipment.”

Second,  Goliath did not EVEN realize how if we don’t get the HIGH BAY addition,  dad blast it …probably it will let  Murdering KILLERS get away with Dastardly CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!!!!!!  “…. if the police take in a vehicle during a homicide investigation, the car gets stored in a warehouse. The security is not at the level the police would like on the buildings and it is susceptible to other elements, like mice.

“One breach of that can compromise a whole case like that,” Sumler said. “It’s just not a good place to store this stuff.”

OH MY HEATHERN GAWDS!!! This here OBVIOUSLY a NECESSARY ELEVEN MILLION DOLLAR PLUS  PROBLEM and Congratulations to ALL AND MANY of the City Council….The REdevelopment BOARD and the MAYOR’s OFFICE for  getting this NECESSARY PROJECT done for ONLY the LOW LOW PRICE of  $11,000,000.00

THank the HEATHERN GAWDS!!!  Here’s a milion dollars…now imagine ELEVEN of these piles!!!
