UPDATE: GOP JUMPS TO GRAB MONEY OVER MARSHALL CASE: This gets better and better, the GOP State Chair is now trying to use the Marshall case to grub some more money for GOP. Here is a copy of an email that went out to his ‘friends’ Note how he conveniently fails to mention his buddy, Charlie White’s case. Charlie apparently refused to ‘go along to get along’ and they put the screws to him. But…nevermind…just send your check to these wonderful guys. Here’s the text of the email:
| Election fraud is alive and well within the Indiana Democratic Party.
Yesterday, a former Joe Donnelly campaign staffer received his sentence after he pled guilty to charges of absentee ballot fraud in Jennings County.
Last week, two Democrats, including a former county chair, were convicted on charges of forging Obama ballot petition signatures in 2004. Two others had already pled guilty. They face between 11 and 75 years in prison.
Friends, despite what those all-star homers on MSNBC tell you, election fraud is not a myth. And even though we have worked to expose cases in every corner of the state it’s still going on.

Mike Marshall, 
the intrepid and resourceful campaign consultant was sentenced today to what will amount to four and a half months in jail. http://newsandtribune.com/local/x508490185/Campaign-worker-sentenced-for-vote-fraud He admitted signing the names of a couple relatives to absentee ballots. A stark fall off from the intitial allegations of about sixty six ‘fraud’ events. Of course, Marshall did this…as he admitted. But it doesn’t sound as if this was a ‘fraud’ in the usually imagined sense. At least, Goliath would consider it real fraud if somebody took another person’s ballot and cast it for them without their knowledge and consent. Not saying what Marshall did is ‘good’ or ‘ok’…just it certainly isn’t what it was made out to be when the orignal charges were filed…shortly before the November election which swept Mike Moore into office. Galligan took a body blow just by being associated with Marshall. It was as if all whisper campaigns had bee ‘verified’ But was this all just accident? A Governor’s operative would meet with me in late 2011 to request information on Democrats they could have State Police and their hand-picked prosecutors prosecute for absentee ballot fraud but I was not going to help them go after Democrats nor be any part of this when they were only doing this, I was informed, because they feared other authorities were getting too close to the administration on other legal matters.
Indeed, former Democratic State Rep. Mike Marshall would later be indicted and plead guilty, along with others, in one of the most egregious cases of absentee vote fraud in Indiana history.”
If this is true, then it sounds as if forces were at work in the Governor’s office to use the Indiana State Police and ‘hand picked’ prosecutors to target Democrats they didn’t like. Mike Marshall was certainly one of these.
But wait Goliath! How could you DARE impugn the integrity of the Indiana State Police? They MUST be completely neutral in these matters….RIGHT? But, on the other hand, the local GOP is lead by Jamey Noel 
whose day job is as an officer with the ISP. Here’s an excerpt from the 2011 story:
“I think the Galligan campaign has had a history of manipulating absentee ballots,” said Clark County Republican Party Chairman Jamey Noel, referencing an investigation by a special prosecutor following the 2007 primary election.
“Here we are four years later, same song different dance,” he added.
Last week’s indictment stemmed from an investigation by the Indiana State Police”

Clark County Democratic Party Chairman Bob Bottorff,
who was not the chairman at the time Marshall was working on local campaigns, was listed in the court proceedings as having submitted a letter on Marshall’s behalf.
“Mike, I think, had a lapse in judgment here,” he said. “I don’t think it’s something that will happen again.” When asked if Marshall would be welcomed as a volunteer on future Democratic campaigns in Clark County, Bottorff did not answer directly. “The Democratic Party is committed to always make sure every person in Indiana that can vote, has the right to vote,” he said. “It’s my view that the Democratic Party is the party that is not only trying to help working men and women in America, but is helping them to have a voice in the people that represent them.” He explained that he believes the aforementioned belief is similar to one that Marshall carries. Bottorff added that if Marshall did desire to work for the Democratic party locally, he would “make absolutely clear that what he was doing was legal.” Getting publicly linked to Marshall might put a smile on at least one person’s face:

Quite a “Come DOWN” from the Headline making allegations of 48 COUNTS OF VOTER FRAUD!
