Sanders gives acceptance speech and interview in New Albany

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, fresh from a rally on the Louisville waterfront, gave his acceptance speech on the New Albany Public Library.

Afterward the senator dined at the New Albany Exchange before holding a phone interview, greeting supporters and heading out on his adventure.

He took a moment to point out that polls indicate that he’s the best candidate to beat Donald Trump because he has the support of not only the democrats, but of independents.

During his interview Sander stressed the importance of a large turn-out.

“We lose when the voter turnout is low, we  win when the voter turnout is high.”
