Weekend Inspiration

Leah here, filling in for the Giant tonight with your weekend inspiration.

His whereabouts are sketchy – but we hear he may have been detained by govmint agents who had been monitoring his (and everyone else’s) cell phone and Internet transmissions earlier this spring and subsequently launched some kind of major investigation into the GNB and its operatives.

Pesty is hunkered down in an undisclosed location and is likely providing refuge for the ‘Hood. The Coast Guard is on the hunt for YMC – there’s an APB out for his pontoon. I will be keeping things rolling until they round us all up. Lets all pray that the Shyster can spring G quickly.

    GNB Leah’s intel is good!
It seems that Pesty has been
    providing transportation and security
    for the ‘Hood and associates
for the current op In Nicaragua.
Big and long awaited plans there.

Yep, Leah has a top notch contact/operative
    working with the US Embassy
    in Nicaragus and has developed
    some very relaible sources
    with the ‘Hood and associates’
    involvement with the long awaited
    Nicaragua project.
    Well financed.
The’Hood may have a strong piece
    of the action.
This will be a long project.
    Much longer to complete
    than the one in Jeffersonville,
    which should be resurrected soon.

    Leah rocks!
    ‘Toons rock!

    Nicaragua fast-tracks huge canal project
MANAGUA, Nicaragua (AP) — Nicaragua is trying to revive a centuries-old dream of building an inter-ocean canal, a project experts say could take 11 years to build, cost $40 billion and require digging about 130 miles (200 kilometers) of waterway, 200 feet (60 meters) deep in many places.http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/06/07/nicaragua-canal-revive/2401553/

Just as the Panama Canal was a projection of growing U.S. power at the start of the 20th century, the Nicaragua project is an expression of China’s growing influence and financial clout around the world. Some are concerned, however, that while China’s record in big infrastructure projects is solid but whose track record on environmental sensitivity is unenviable.

The demand will probably be there by the time the project is finished, said Jason Bittner, director of the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of Southern Florida. The question is whether the route can compete with its two big competitors, the century-old Panama Canal and the “land bridge” of railway networks that connect U.S. West Coast ports with the East Coast.

    Eduardo Lugo,
    a Panamanian expert
who worked for 10 years on traffic-demand calculations
for Panama’s own expansion effort and now works as a private consultant, said the length would tend to make the project less competitive. “It’s very long, both to dredge it and maintain it. That is going to require high maintenance costs.”
